I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. This Christmas was the best Christmas I have ever had. We stayed here in Dallas and went over to Allison and Brian's on Christmas day because Allison is still on bed rest. It was a different Christmas but a great one! Cason was spoiled rotten as usual. His Grandad and BeBe got him and MP3 player with classical musical and nursery rhymes already on it. Now we are jamming out to the songs. His Granny and Papaw got him his first Bible with his name engraved on it. His great Geema got him a really cool toy. His Aunt Allison and Uncle Brian got him a bumbo. His Aunt Tory got him a swaddling blanket. We got him a Miracle Blanket (ok, that is really for us, I will have to have a post about the blanket later. It really is a miracle!) Santa gave Cason some toys!
Here are some pictures

1 Month Old!
I can't believe that Cason is already 1 month old. 1 month ago at this time (8:00pm) I was not feeling well at all. I was ready to meet Cason and ready to not be pregnant anymore. I had no idea at that time how much my life would change in a matter of hours!
Every day I thank God for giving Toby and I such a precious boy. It is humbling to think about how God picked us to be parents of someone so special. I always feel like pinching my self b/c sometimes I feel like I'm dreaming. I am in awe of Cason and how much he can do at a month old. He is holding his head up for short periods of time, when he is on his tummy he can turn his head from side to side, and he track Toby and I as we walk across the room.

On another note, remember my sister in your prayers. She is on bed rest right now. She is 30 weeks and needs to make it to at least 34 weeks. I am trying to talk her into creating blog. It's not like she has anything better to do, right?

Sneak Peak
We had a wonderful photographer out to our house to take pictures of Cason. The pictures are not quite ready yet but she posted a few of them on her blog. Here is the link

2 and 3 weeks pictures
Happy 3 week birthday Cason! It seems like Cason is growing and changing every day. It makes me sad to know he won't stay this little for ever. But I am excited to see him grow up. I am already dreading the day that he gets married and I won't be the number one woman in his life!
3 weeks old and much happier! I learned my lesson from last week. Babies on an empty stomach don't like their picture taken. When their bellies are full life is much better!
My mom, Cason's BeBe, left this past Friday. She was here for about 3 weeks. I couldn't have made it through those days without her help.

Cason David Stunkard
Our son, Cason, was born on Nov. 18, 2008 at 10:12 pm. He weighed 8lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long. Toby and I are in love with our precious baby boy. It's hard to believe that he will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. Enjoy the pictures!

The newest Red Raider!
Cason's 1 week picture. I'm stealing this idea from a friend. Hopefully I will be able to take a picture every week until he is a month and then every month until he is a year so you get to see him grow! We shall see if I can keep up with it!

UPDATE!!!!
Nothings happening...... :(
Alicia came to see us today! It was very good to see her! Also, here is what could be Toby and my last pregnancy picture. I think I might actually miss being pregnant a little bit!
Here are our bags all packed, but with nowhere to go!
With one week to go I figured I would start feeling like things were changing. But NO! Everything is still the same. I have been joking that I have an iron gate inside me and everything is locked up tight. Cason is VERY comfortable. Toby and I have been researching ways to make me go into labor. Here are some of the suggestions:
1. walking (we walked around Firewheel today and I walk everyday at school)
2. spicy food (haven't tired)
3. driving on a bumpy rode (Toby suggested we drive around the Target parking lot and go over the speed bumps over and over again-haven't tired)
4. caster oil (ewww, gross, I don't want the side effects of that)
5. my sister thinks that bouncing on an exercise ball would work too, but can't you see the ball shooting out from underneath me? Maybe that would send me into labor.
We do go to the doctor tomorrow but I am very doubtful that anything has changed since last week. Our doctor seems pretty confident that I will make it to 41 weeks. I am not going to wait that long. We have decided to induce on Nov. 18 if Cason hasn't decided to make his appearance.
Here are some pictures of Cason's room. I am still working on an art project to hang over his crib but everything else is ready!

Couples Shower
This past weekend some awesome friends and family of ours threw Toby and I a couples shower. It was a blast! The Texas Tech/A&M game was on and we ate pizza and wings. It was so good to be able to spend time with our family and friends. I wish we could do that every weekend!
Sally made this cake! I think she should go into the cake decorating business!
These are the cookies that Sally, Martha and Virgina made. Aren't they cute? The wonderful hostesses! Sally (childhood friend), Allison (my sister), Beth (childhood friend), Melodie (college roomie), and Jennie (childhood friend). Thank you girls for everything you did. It was so good to see all of you. The shower was great!
Update on Cason
He's still hangin out in my belly! I think he's getting too comfortable for his own good. I am ready to meet him already! If anything changes I will let you know!

Showers!
2 groups of wonderful ladies threw me a baby shower this week. The first one was given by my team mates at school. Here are the ladies that put up with me every day!Thank you to Laura, Deidra, Brenda, Michelle, and Amy. I couldn't ask for a better team to work with.
The second shower was given by my small group at church. They were thoughtful enough to play my favorite shower game, Guess What's in the Diaper! I LOVE that game! Here are the girls in our small group.
Thank you to Sally, Allison, Brooke, Lindsay, Kelly, Lee, and Brandy. I have loved getting to know you over the past few years. Ya'll are very special to me!Saturday, September 27, 2008
Big Change
Our 3 "babies" are fixing to undergo a big change. They won't be our "babies" anymore because we are going to have the real thing! I thought I would let them debut in our blog b/c it may be the only time they make an appearance. One of the baby books I am reading says to start preparing your pets for the appearance of a new baby. They actually say to stop giving them as much attention. Isn't that sad?
Mox is our oldest. He is named after Johnny Moxin from Varsity Blues (Toby named him). He weighs 20lbs. and is very shy. I can hardly pick him up anymore b/c of my big ol belly.
Maverick came next. He was born without a tail. He thinks he's a dog sometimes. He meets us by the door and even eats dog food when he thinks we aren't looking. Recently I have caught him sleeping in Cason's crib. This is going to be a very big problem. We may have to get a crib tent to keep him out.
Hercules is our youngest. He is spoiled rotten. This summer we started taking him on walks almost every night. Now he expects it and stands at the door whining all night. We even had to make a code word for walk b/c if he hears it, he goes crazy. He is going to have the hardest time with Cason coming. He won't have his daddy's undevoted attention.
Here are some pics of our little guys.

Toby Ratted Me Out
We went to the doctor today and while we were there he asked me if I had anything sweet to eat in the past hour. I told him I had had a Fiber One bar but that was it. THEN my awesome husband blurts out..."But she had a cupcake for lunch". Thanks Toby. Our doctor told me that he had spies everywhere and that I couldn't hide what I had been eating. Great........
It was all in fun but I can't help to feel a little bad when Dr. R is telling me to cut out sweets from my diet. He's not that worried about my weight but I did gain 10 lbs. in a month. OPPS! I thought it would slow down but apparently not. I have got to stop eating so much!
On a happier note, we had another sonogram today. I had high levels of amniotic fluid and they wanted to monitor it. While we were in there the sono tech did a 3-D sono just for fun! It was soo cool. I think that Cason has my nose. That could be very bad. I know I am biased but he is a cutie! Here are the pics!

There's No Question Cason's A Boy
As you can see in the pictures below Cason is 100% boy. At our 19 wk sono. we knew we were going to find our the sex of our baby. He wasn't very cooperative. His umbilical cord was between his legs and the sono tech couldn't get him to kick it free. She pushed on my belly, made me lay on my side, and then made me go to the bathroom. Nothing worked. FINALLY she got a side view picture (she usually tried to get a between the legs picture).
I have had to have 2 more sonograms since then. The 23 wk one was b/c Cason had 2 cysts in his brain which are fairly common and have since gone away. The 25 wk one was b/c I had been sick and dehydrated and was having some cramping (everything was ok). This was the picture that confirmed to us that Cason is 100% boy!
This is a underneath the butt shot. The sono tech said he had a "hard on", her words, not mine! I didn't even know they could do that in -utero. Toby is so proud, he thinks Cason's man part is almost as long as this thigh. Boys.......

How Cason Came To Be.....
Get your heads out of the gutter! I am not going to talk about THAT!
In February Toby and I decided it was time to expand our little family and who knew it happen so fast? On March 11th, Toby and I were in spin class at the gym. I was doing fine when all of the sudden I got nauseous. I thought I might be getting over heated since I always tried to keep my heart rate in the 180's. Then I started feeling really sick and I had to leave to go to the bathroom. After cooling off for 5 min. I went back to spin class and finished it. The entire time I kept thinking it was really weird that I had that wave of nausea out of nowhere. I turned to Toby and told him that I planned on taking a pregnancy test when I got home. His response was to roll his eyes and pretty much ignore me. Now, to all you people who are thinking, "that's rude", I am the queen of pregnancy tests. It has been a long running joke that I have taken a test once a month since we have been married. I am not that bad, but I had taken quite a few. I was always paranoid. When we got home that night I went to take THE TEST. I peed on the stick, sat it down and expected it see 1 line. I did see 1 line at first but then this really really faint 2nd pink line crept into view. I sat there for a minute in shock, then yelled to Toby that I needed him to look at the test b/c I thought I saw 2 lines. Toby looked at it and confirmed that there were 2 lines there but the 2nd one you could barely see. I think both of our jaws hit the floor knowing the possibility that we could be pregnant. We decided we needed to go to Wal-Mart right away to get another test. On the way there we called my parents and then Toby's sister Tory, to ask her if she knew anything about pregnancy tests. I also downed 2 bottles of water knowing I was going to have to pee in a couple minutes. At Wal-Mart we decided that we needed a digital test b/c it actually said Pregnant/Not Pregnant and we didn't want to try to figure out those pesky lines again. We went home, took a test and it said PREGNANT! Oh my gosh!!!!! I took another one the next morning just to make sure :). After going to the Dr. the next day we confirmed that we were going to have a little Stunkard !
I had to document what my stomach looked like before it got big. It may never look like this again!
Skip forward a few months and this is our sweet Cason at 25 wks. I think he's smiling!
