Cason's Cousins

This post is LONG overdue! The week of the 4th of July, Toby, Cason, and I packed up and went to Lubbock. We stayed there for the entire week and pretty much had to move into and take over Granny and Pawpaw's house. They were awesome for putting up with us. Cason LOVED spending time with his Lubbock family. He thinks his cousins are great. Here are a few pictures:

8 Months!

Happy 8 month birthday little boy!

At 8 months Cason is loving life. He loves his new found freedom of crawling everywhere. He is still standing and pulling up on things and as I blogged about earlier, he walked by pushing his walker toy across the living room! Cason is changing every day. He has started to have some stranger anxiety. Today he cried for the first time when I left him at my aunts house. He has never cried when I have left him. It broke my heart. He has FINALLY stared saying some sounds with consonants! I have been a little worried about that for a while. Yesterday I officially stopped breastfeeding. I am a little sad but I know life will be a little easier now. Cason's Favorite Things:
Favorite Food: Apple and Blueberries
Favorite Snack: Sweet Potato Puffs
Favorite Book: Where's The Monster?
Favorite Activity: Following mommy and daddy around and bath time
Favorite Toy: Piano Walker

Cason's First Haircut

Cason got his first haircut yesterday! He was getting awfully hairy! He had a few hairs that were hanging down in his eyes and hair that was growing over his ears. He also had a couple of adorable curls on his neck!
Here are a couple of before pictures.

I needed a haircut really bad so we decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and get Cason's hair cut too! We took him to see Dana who cuts my hair. She was great with him!
It looks like Cason is saying, "Daddy Help Me"!

In this picture it looks like Cason is saying, "What is that thing and what are you going to do with it?"

He did cry a little. He DOES NOT like people to mess with his hair. Thank goodness he's not a girl and I don't have to do a lot to his hair every day!
Here is my handsome man after the big event.

This has nothing to do with is haircut, but Cason pushed his walker across our livingroom tonight!

These Shoes Are Made For Walking

This week Cason got his first pair of big boy shoes. Toby and I figured that he better get used to wearing shoes more often because it won't be long before he's walking. He got a pair of Stride Rite shoes for $20! They are normally $50. Really? People pay that much for infant shoes that they will only wear for 4 months? I shouldn't judge, I probably would have paid full price. Only the best for my little man!

Cason's new shoes

From Cason, "Mom these things are perfect to chew on, thanks!"

Yesterday, July 9th, was also our 4th wedding anniversary. We had a good day.
First we ate lunch at my most favorite grocery store EVER!

Then we went to eat ice cream at this AWESOME ice cream store! Another one of my favs.

Next Toby and I went to get a couples massage. It is becoming our anniversary tradition to get a couples massage instead of buying each other presents. Look closely at the name of the massage place!

To end the perfect day we bought Cason his shoes. I have loved every minute of being married to Toby! He is the perfect husband!

All American Hunk

Here is my All American Hunk on the 4th of July.

We spent the 4th in Lubbock with Toby's family and are here the entire week. On Saterday Toby, Cason and I went to 4th on Broadway with Aunt Tory and Cousin Travis. It was very HOT.

Cason is still recovering from his 2nd cold this summer :( but he is still acting like his normal self for the most part. Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks.
