Let It Go!

On March 21st we celebrated Molly's 4th birthday. It was Frozen themed (of course). If you know me well you know that I love a themed birthday party! Molly dressed up as Elsa, made a tiara and played in fake snow with her friends, ate an ice cream sundae and opened presents. Her friends that helped her celebrate we Camille, Reid, Bennett, Ava, Beau, Claire, Jack, Avery, Ava, Aubrey, Olivia, Aunt Beth, Grandad, BeBe, Geema, Aunt Allison and Uncle Brian.  It was a fabulous day!

It's not a Frozen party unless you have snow!

Do you wanna build a sundae?

The Tooth Fairy Came

Cason has had a lot of "firsts" this year. On March 9th he lost his first tooth! Sadly Toby and I were in Jamaica but we heard all about it. We knew it was loose when we left but I honestly didn't think it was ready to come out. My parents said he came into their room about 2 am holding his tooth proudly. It fell out in his sleep. I'm surprised he didn't swallow it! Cason was so proud that he carried the tooth around for days (he wanted to show Toby and I before the tooth fairy came). He actually lost his lost tooth at some point but we found it when we got home. The tooth fairy finally visited!
Yup, there's a hole!

Jamaica!

Over Spring Break Toby and I took an early 10th year anniversary trip. Technically out anniversary isn't until July but we have another big trip coming up this summer so we decided to celebrate now! It was AMAZING!!! With all the cold air, rain, stress of work/life, a small vacation with just the 2 of us is exactly what we needed. We flew into Montego Bay, Jamaica. After standing in an 2.5 hour line at customs we were on our way to Ocho Rios to the Sandals Resort. Toby and I chose to rent a beach side cabana one day instead of going on any excursions. We have already been to Ocho Rios on a cruise and did the Dunn River Falls. We literally woke up, ate breakfast, spent all day at the beach, cleaned up for dinner and went to bed for 3 whole days! I can't tell you how good that felt!
Our Cabana on day one. Funny story, the lady that took this picture for us was so drunk she kept pressing the side of the camera where there were no buttons. Each time she thought she took a picture. I think it took her 6 tries to actually press the button. We were laughing hysterically!

A sweet surprise from our cabana attendant, Sharon.

Can you tell we were happy?

The view from our balcony.

Toby's has always wanted to drink coconut water from a real coconut. We both thought it tasted horrible! Oh well, it was fun to try!

We ran up some hills at the resort and came across this beautiful view. Toby is defending the great country of Jamaica!

Snowpocalypse 2015

We have had a pretty boring winter until the last 2 weeks. I didn't think we were going to see snow this year at all. I guess the groundhog was right, we would have 6 more weeks of winter! The last week of February was when the winter weather started. We missed 2 days of school and had a delayed start on the 3rd day all because of ice. Then a day later it started snowing. We only got a little on that day. Then almost a week later it SNOWED. We probably got around 4 inches in a few hours. We woke up to no school again and a winter wonder land!
This picture is a little pathetic. Cason was on day 5 of a TERRIBLE stomach virus. I thought this might be the only snow we saw this year so I made him run out there for 1 picture. I know, I'm a bad mom. Little did I know, that Molly was coming down with the same virus at that exact moment.

This is a couple of days later when the snow actually stuck. This time Cason was feeling a lot better and poor Molly was on day 3 of the nasty stomach bug.

Even thought she wasn't feeling well she still managed to have a little fun!
This was the big snow a week later. Everyone was healthy and had a lot of fun!

We actually had snow drifts!
