Different Kind Of Post

Ever since becoming a mom, my heart has been burdended to pray for babies and their families who are either very sick or who have become angels in Heaven. These incrediable moms have blogs and are commited to sharing thier relationship with God even though they are going through an unimaganable time in thier lives. Reading thier thoughts has help to strengthen my relationship with God.
Here are some of the blogs. They are very sad stories but all the moms have wonderful messages of trust, prayer, and glorifying God.

This first one is a friend of mine. Her and her husband used to be in our small group at church before they moved.

First Trip to Lubbock!

Cason made his first trip to Lubbock this week. The drive normally takes about 6hours and we made it in 7 hours this time. That's not too bad! He did great in the car. Although, he had twice as many poopie diapers as he normaly does. I think that it was his way of getting to get out of his carseat on the drive.
When we made it to Lubbock Cason met his Aunt Tory, Uncle Thomas and cousins Tamra, Travis, and Ethan. He also got to spend quality time with his Granny and Papaw.

Cason also got to meet some good family friends of mine. Uncle Fred, Aunt Sharon, Jennie, Matt, and Madilyn.

Cason loved getting to meet all of his Lubbock family and he told me he can't wait to go back!

4 Months Old and A Lot of Firsts

I am getting to spend some good quality time with Cason this week because I am on my spring break. I love being at home with him and I can't wait until I can stay home with him this summer!
On Wednesday Cason turned 4 months old. We went to the pediatrician and found out he weighs 13 lbs. 14. oz. (25th percentile) and he is 24 inches long (90th percentile). He has rolled over both ways now and he is discovering that he loves playing with toys. It is so much fun to watch him learn new things.

We have had a blast this week trying out new things. Cason played in his exersaucer for the first time. He stayed it in about 10 min. before he got tired.

He also tried to eat his first cereal. That didn't go over very well. Every time we put the spoon in his mouth he got the worst look on his face. I think he is still tongue thrusting so we will wait another week or two to try again.

Cason traveled to Lubbock for the first time too but I will post pictures of that later.

Like Father, Like Son

I was sick a couple of weekends ago so Toby and Cason had TONS of father/son bonding time. In fact they have had so much time together that they even started dressing alike!

Cason Rolled Over!

Yup, you read right. My exceptional baby rolled over at 3 1/2 months! I don't have a picture of it yet so this really cute picture will have to do.

Cason also found his feet last week. Toby has seen him sucking on his toe but I have yet to wittness that!

Hodge Podge

I have several pictures to show you this week. The first, and most exciting, is pictures of the first time Cason met his cousin Reid. Reid is now a week and 2 days old. He is sooooo tiny!

This is our little burrito baby. Many of you have heard me talk about the Miracle Blanket. I LOVE it! Cason LOVES it! It helps him go to sleep fast and stay asleep for the most part. Toby and I call it the baby straight jacket. Cason's pediatrician recommend it to us at our 1 week well visit. He has used it every night since then. Now the only problem is that he is going to out grow it and we won't know how to get him to sleep. We can't swaddle him forever. Can we?

Here is daddy/Cason playtime. Toby can use just about anything to make hats.

Cason is a really happy baby. He fusses when he's hungry or tired and that's just about it. BUT, every once in a while this happens.

Toby was making elephant sounds and apparently Cason did not like that!
Here is the cute picture of the week!
