Saturday Morning

This morning Cason and I let his daddy sleep in. He has been VERY busy at work and needed it. Cason woke up around 6:45. I just wanted to lay around but of course Cason had other plans. He was a very busy boy!
First he played in the pantry...

Which led to......

Stacking cups on the windowsill.

Next he lined up all of his Chuck cars.

After that he "washed" his Lightening McQueen car.

Whew! And all of that was just the first couple of hours of our day!
Here are some other cute pictures that I took this week.
Cason playing with his first balloon.

He looks JUST like his daddy in this picture! I think Toby and I need to stop watching TV around him! Although, he really has no interest in the TV. Just the remote!

My 14 Month Munchkin

It's been way too long since I have posted, again. Posting once a month like I did his first year has gone by the wayside. He is a very busy 14 month old, therefore I am a very busy mommy!
Cason is starting to say some new words and he is learning baby sign language. Some of the words he uses are dada, mama, kitty, what's this, dog, and he said go go one time so I'm not sure if I can count that. He is signing more and all done. His babysitter said she saw him sign please but I haven't seen that one so I'm not counting it :).
He is getting more purposeful as he plays and I am loving watching him. Just tonight he learned how to stack the big legos on top of each other. He was so proud of himself. One of his favorite things to do is the "help" with the laundry. I told him he is going to make his wife very happy some day. Cason also like to hug his Zebra and rock him. He also likes for me to rock him. The other day I was holding the zebra and I stopped rocking him. Cason thought the zebra still needed rocking so he gently pushed me to get me to rock him again. He is such a sweet little boy!
Cason survived his first stomach virus this weekend. If you know me at all, you know that I am a germ freak and I over react to illnesses especially with Cason. You will be happy to know that I handled it like a champ and didn't over react at all. I stayed calm for my sick baby. I think I deserve a pat on the back. :)

Long Overdue

After we had Christmas in Lubbock, we packed up and drove 9 hours in the snow to College Station. It snowed from Lubbock to about Waco. It made for a cold but pretty drive. Cason did an awesome job for being in the car so long. Once in College Station Cason celebrated Christmas with Grandad and BeBe. He had a blast riding in a wagon, playing with his cousin Reid and making a big mess by spreading Grandad and Bebe's
receipts all over the den.

He LOVES his new house that Grandad and BeBe gave him.

Don't let this picture fool you. Cason made most of this mess himself. In this picture he is letting Reid take the blame for it.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas...

And we got one! Toby, Cason and I spent our Christmas in Lubbock this year. The night we got here it snowed several inches and there is still snow on the ground today. We all had a great Christmas. Enjoy the pictures!

Cason got his basketball goal before we left to go to Lubbock.

Look at all this snow!

Cason hated it!

But he got to wear his super cute cap and matching mittens his Aunt Allison gave him.

Our Christmas Eve family traditions of reading the Birth Story of Jesus and The Night Before Christmas, and opening pajamas (or in Cason's case, a sleep sack)

Santa brought Cason a Bee Bop Band the next morning!

Today we built a snowman

and played with cousins.

Toby, Cason, and I wish you all a belated Merry Christmas!

A Visit to the North Pole

Cason went to the north Pole!

Where he met

and wasn't too happy about it either.
He took pictures with mom and dad

and went to the beach?!

Who knew the north pole has a sandy beach?

I guess the only place you can find the North Pole and the beach is the Bass Pro Shop. This weekend was the first time I had experienced Bass Pro. It's not quite my "thing" BUT the North Pole set up was so pretty and fun! Toby and I took Cason back on Monday to get his picture taken with Santa. We spent about an hour there and Cason had a blast! He loved looking at the big fish but we didn't get a picture of that. We had so much fun and we may even go back next year!

Happy Thanksgiving

My Thankful List
1. My Husband, he takes such good care of me and Cason.
2. My healthy little boy.
3. My parents, they let me and Toby sleep late 2 days in a row!
4. My sister, she always makes me laugh
5. My extended family and friends
6. My job
7. Toby's Job
There are so many other things that I am thankful for but if you read my blog chances are you want to see pictures!
This Thanksgiving was a little different than last years.
Cason a little over a week old!

We spent the holiday in College Station with my parents. Aunt Allison, Uncle Brian and Cousin Reid came down to join us too. The boys are trying to figure out how to play with each other. It's pretty cute. Reid chases Cason around and Cason runs from him. Cason isn't sure about Reid!
Our Family Tradition is to go on a walk after our meal. This year we stopped at the playground to let the boys play.

My parents bought a used double stroller!

Happy First Birthday Cason!

Today is Cason's first birthday! I know I have said this thousands of times before but I can't believe how fast the year has flown by! See for yourself!

Toby stayed home with Cason today. Cason came to see me at work, and went to Toby's work too. I came home a little early and Cason opened his present from us then ate his cake. Then we all went for a walk. Cason walked all the way to the end of our street and then all the way back to our house! He LOVES to be outside! Here are some pictures of our day.

I LOVE this picture!

Dear Cason,
I love you so much. One year ago was one of the best days in my life. I have enjoyed seeing all of your "firsts" this year. Your first cry, first dirty diaper, first smile, first time to roll over, first babyfood, first laugh, first tooth, first time to crawl, first time to take a step, first time to walk, and all of the MANY things you have learned to do in this short year of your life. You amaze me every day. I thank God every day that he picked me to be your mommy. I love you sweet boy.
Love, Mommy
