Vacation 2010

This may be the very first post since Cason has been born that doesn't' have any pictures of him! Don't worry grandparents, I will post pictures of what he did the week we were gone soon!
Toby and I went on a Princess Cruise with our good friends the Loyds. We left from Ft. Lauderdale. Our first stop was Princess Cays, Bahamas. Sally and I spent the entire day laying out and the boys snorkeled for a good portion of the day. They was some really cool fish and a lobster!

Our next stop was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It was SOOO beautiful. We climbed up Dunn's River Falls and went on a chair lift through the rain forest and up a mountain. I want to go back!

After Jamaica we stopped in Grand Cayman. This was by far my favorite place. We went to a sea turtle farm, a place called Hell, and we swam with sting rays. SOO COOL!

Our last stop was Cozumel, Mexico. It was a little rainy that day but we still had fun! I learned how to paddle board. If I lived near a beach this would become a hobby of mine! It was fun. And yes, I said "I", Toby had a hard time! I'm not sure he stood up for more than a couple of seconds at a time! He blames it on the fact that he had a shorter board. I think I am finally better at something than he is!

We ate a TON of good food. I am ashamed to so say that I gained a good 8 pounds! My only saving grace was that it seems I caught some kind of stomach bug on the ship and my first day back home lost 6 of those pounds. NOT a fun way to loose them!

8 days was a long time to be away from Cason. I am not sure I will do that ever again. 4 days maybe, but 8 days NO! He was just fine staying here with my parents and grandma. It is good to be home!

Cason LOVES his daddy!

To my wonderful husband,
Thank you for being the best dad in the whole wide world. You can make Cason smile and laugh bigger and louder than anyone else can. I love watching the 2 of you play together. He loves you so much and so do I! Happy Father's Day Toby!

This year's father's day

Other cute father/son pics! (They aren't in order, sorry!)

10 Days, 10 hours, 44 min., and 27 Seconds

Until I am out of school for SUMMER VACATION!!!! WHOOOO HOOO! Cason and I have a full summer planned. We are going to go to Tiny Tots and Tunes Summer Camp at church together, we are taking swimming lessons together, I am planning on taking Cason to Toddler Story time at our public library, there are several other activites at church like beach day and petting zoo that we will go too. I also hope to have several play dates with friends that I don't get to see very often. So call me sometime and we will get togther! (My nickname this time of year is Summer Sarah. I am a lot more fun during the summer!) The sad part of the summer is that Toby and I are going to leave Cason with my mom for 8 DAYS to go on vacation with another couple. 8 DAYS people....I am trying to be excited but and really worried about how Cason will do. And how I will do!

I will leave you with a preview of what I hope our summer is going to be like!

Cute flip flops and playing in the sprinkler!

In other news, Toby and Cason flew BY THEMSELVES to Lubbock a couple of weekends ago. Toby's mom (aka Granny) had knee surgery so they went to visit her. Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend. Granny, I did not post any pictures of you b/c Caosn told me that you were a little shy in front of the camera :)

BTW, Cason did pretty well for his first flight. I am a little sad that I was not there to experience it with him!

My Silly 17 Month Old Boy

Cason has been doing some really silly things lately. Toby and I laugh WITH him a million times a day. See for yourself!

For some reason Cason REALLY wanted to wear his hat. In this picture you can see that he also has a love affair with his INFANT paci's. I often wonder if will will go to kindergarten sucking on these things.

Cason LOVES putting food in his hair and it's always yellow food for some weird reason. The first picture is mac and cheese and the next one is peaches.

Here he is pretending that his Lego table is a boat.

Wearing mommy's sunglasses, and there's that darn paci again!

Helping Daddy mow the yard. Don't worry the lawn mower isn't on!

Since I am WAY behind on blogging (the end of the school year is about to do me in) here are Cason's 2nd annual bluebonnet pictures that we took about a month ago.

Easter Egg Hunting

Happy Easter everyone!
We have been celebrating Easter for the past couple of weeks. Cason is at the age where he is getting the hang of hunting for Easter eggs. At first he was enjoying picking up the eggs and putting them in his basket but then he realized that there was candy and toys in them. He was in HEAVEN!
These first couple of pictures were taken at our church's EGGstravaganza last Saturday. My parents brought Reid with them and we all had a good time!

Look what the Easter bunny brought! Eggs with cars and fruit snacks in them! WOW!

After Cason looked at his Easter basket Toby, Cason, my parents and I all went to church where we met my sister and her family. We listened to a great sermon and were able to celebrate Jesus being resurrected. I am so thankful that we live in a country where we can worship freely! After church we all went to a nearby park to have ANOTHER Easter egg hunt. Cason and Reid thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Cason wasn't much interested in picking up a bunch of eggs this time. He would pick up 1 egg at a time and eat everything that was in it. His favorite eggs were the ones with chocolate Cheerios in them!

Cason playing at the park

As if Cason and Reid aren't already spoiled their BeBe and Grandad bought them their very first bike for Easter. They also gave them a huge box of sidewalk chalk which Cason LOVES and a bunny.

Last but not least....our family picture for Easter 2010
