A Christmas Blizzard

For Christmas this year we went to Lubbock. We had a couple of days of good weather but then the day after Christmas Day we had a blizzard! A real, honest to goodness blizzard! As a weather nut I was super excited. We had 3 feet of snow with drifts up to 6 feet. There was high wind, blowing snow so you couldn't see, cars getting stuck on road ways for a day or so. Nothing but ATV's and sand buggy's, and 4 wheel drives could navigate the roads. After it stopped snowing I walked a little over a mile to Aunt Tory's house and back to get Toby's sunglasses that he left there. I had to walk down the middle of the roads and the snow went up to my knee's in places. I even saw a fire truck that was stuck! We had to stay an extra day but we were anxious to get home. The same time we were having a blizzard, the DFW area was having tornado's. We had Xena boarded in Rowlett and an EF4 tornado went right through the center of Rowlett. Not too far away from where Xena was boarded. She was fine but the city of Rowlett had horrific damage. Crazy Texas weather.

The kids got a trampoline for Christmas. We gave it to them a couple of weeks early so they could play with it before we left to go to Lubbock.

Cason's dream came true. He got to build a snow tunnel!

 When we came back home we had Christmas at Grandad and Bebe's house. Look at all those stockings!

The kids and I received Hawaiian Falls season passes again! The perfect gift for summer!
