Thankful

We just celebrated Thanksgiving and have a lot to be thankful for. Here are some of the things I wrote down when we were talking about what we were Thankful for this year.
A God that loves us, and takes care of us
Mommy and Daddy
Toby and all the wonderful things he does for our family
Sarah
Cason's sweet personality
Molly's spunky personality
Our house that has air conditioner and heat
comfortable beds
friends to laugh with
Mrs. Abrams (Cason's teacher)
our Church
family time
the ability to run

We spent Thanksgiving in Lubbock this year. We were there for an entire week. The first part of the week we stayed with Granny and Papaw. There were so many family members there that the 2nd part of the week we stayed with Aunt Tory, Uncle Brett, Travis and Baby Jake. Cason LOVED all of the time he got to spend with Travis and Molly loved playing with Jake's toys. On Thanksgiving Day there were over 40 people at Aunt Tory's house for our dinner! It was a fun day! While we were there we went to see the movie Big Hero 6. We also went to look at animals at Walters Weird World of Pets. Cason almost talked me into buying a bearded dragon!

Unfortunately, I didn't take 1 SINGLE picture the entire time I was there! I even had a brand new camera! Luckily, Uncle Thomas took this picture of us for our Christmas card. Consider this a sneak peak!

Here is a picture of some of the bagillion people we were fortunate to celebrate with!

Happy 6th Birthday Cason!

I can't believe Cason is 6! It is hard to believe that 6 years ago he was a tiny newborn baby. I didn't know what to expect from him as he grew into a boy. As a 6 year old boy he is caring, funny, curious and passionate. He has such a sweet heart and really cares about people and their feelings. He loves to pray for people who are sick or hurt or missing family members. Cason has a sense of humor JUST like his dad! Granny tells us that Cason is nothing like Toby when he was a boy but Cason is exactly like Toby right now! He is always cracking jokes and saying the funniest things. He also loves to learn about things he is interested in. If he's not interested in it, good luck getting him to learn about it! He is really into reptiles, dinosaurs and fossils right now. Even though he is growing too fast I can't wait to see what this next year holds for him!

Birthday morning

He might be mad at me for this a few years from now :)

He had his entire birthday day planned out with no help from anyone! First he wanted a chocolate croissant from Starbucks for breakfast. He wanted me to eat lunch with him and to bring him Sonic. For dinner he wanted to go to Razoo's to eat alligator tail. Unfortunately Molly was sick and we were unable to go to Razoo's but we got it to go. And that gave Toby and Cason some time to play his new Skylanders game. It was a great day to be turning 6!

Cason's Birthday Party

Cason had a snake themed birthday party this year. YUCK!! We were going to have a live snake come visit the party but it wasn't able to come after all. Shucks :). We had the party at our house and kept it pretty simple. His friends that came were, Beau, Reid, Camille, Bennett, Tanner, Cole, Matthew, Eyob, Jack, Parker and Wade. The boys painted salt dough snakes, ate pizza and went on a snake hunt in the back yard. Cason had a lot of fun playing with his friends!

Fall Soccer

Cason played soccer this fall with the same team he played with in the spring. His team was the Rattlers and Toby was the coach again. It is amazing how much the boys had grown and how much better they were with their soccer skills. Cason scored 3 or 4 goals during the season! They ended the season 7-2!

Turtle Man and Tinkerbell

This Halloween Cason was Turtle Man from the TV show Call of the Wildman. Call of the Wildman is one of Cason's favorite shows.  Here is a picture comparing the two.

He even had a turtle ;)

And had the turtle hypnotizing hand signal down.
Molly was Tinkerbell. She loves Tinkerbell! The wings that came with the costume were tiny and cheap looking so I made her some! I think they turned out cute!

Our pumpkins we carved.

At the fall festival

Yeehaw!
On Halloween night we met up with cousins; Reid, Camille, and Bennett at my parents house. We always have a good time trick-or-treating in their neighborhood!

This picture cracks me up!

Pumpkin Patch 2014

We took our annual trip to the Arboretum with my parents a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful day and we all had a good time!

A week after we went to the arboretum with my parents, Cason and I went back as part of his kindergarten class field trip. It was fun going as a parent and not a teacher! I enjoyed the time I had with Cason and his friends.

The kindergartners are all from Mrs. Abrams class.
