Cason's 5th Birthday Party

This weekend we celebrated Cason's fifth birthday! How can it be that time already!? We had his party at our house and even rented a bounce house! Cason wanted a crane birthday party this year. Another birthday another truck themed party. But the birthday boy gets what he wants so mama had to be creative again. I have a confession...I loved themed birthday parties! Granny and Papaw came to join in the celebration as well as Grandad and Bebe, the McFarlands, Sloans, our next door neighbors Abby and Nataly, Michael (a friend from Myrna's house), Walker McKinney, and the Loyds. Cason loved every minute of it!

My friend from church, Amanda, made this awesome cake! Cason LOVED it!

Bebe made pumpkin cupcakes. Cason's request!

There was a hard hat decorating station.

No birthday party is complete without a visit from Myrna!

The firetruck bounce house. There wasn't a crane bounce house so this was the next best thing!

Even grandad got in on the action!

The only picture I could get of the birthday boy standing still!

A Police Officer and a Ladybug

This year for Halloween Cason was a police officer and Molly was a ladybug. We went to our church's Fall Festival which is always fun and on Halloween Night we went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood with the Loyds. Cason was super excited as was Molly. At one point her candy bucket was too heavy for her and I offered to carry it. She said, "No mama, I carry it. Ladybugs are strong"! How cute is that!
She LOVED her ladybug costume!

One cool dude!

Practice Photo Shoot

I have a friend in Wylie who is starting up her photography business and she was asking for subjects to practice on for free! I said, "sign me up!". The kids were really wound up that day and it was hard to get them to sit still for anything but she was patient and did a WONDERFUL job! Actually...Heather Hampson's, of Heather Hampson Photography, daughter is in my class this year. I told her I have more control of my class than my own kids!

2013 Pumpkin Patch

Once again we took a trip to the Dallas Arboretum to see the beautiful pumpkins! Cason, Molly and I met my parents there. Anytime Grandad and BeBe come the kids know it will be fun! It was SUPER hard to get pictures of the kiddo's this year. I think I say that every year but each year gets harder and harder! The really good pictures are grandads!

Molly's First Haircut

If you have seen Molly lately then you know that she has A LOT of curly hair! Unfortunately it was starting to get a lot of tangles so I decided it was time for her to go get a haircut! I was thinking she would get a couple of inches cut off but when we got to Cool Cuts For Kids the lady cutting her hair told me that if we cut her curls off now they wouldn't grow back. So I panicked and had them take 1/2 an inch off. I LOVE her curls!!!!!!

First Day of Preschool

Cason started preschool this week! We decided to do something a little different this year and send him to First Baptist Wylie 3 days a week. Their hours are 8:30-12:30 and that works good for us dropping him off and picking him up. In addition to learning normal preschool stuff, he has a music and Spanish class. He came home and Wednesday and told me he learned the Spanish word rojo! He was so proud! His first week went great until he got strep throat and had to miss Friday. After preschool and on Tuesdays and Thursdays he goes to his beloved Myrna's house! I think this is going to be a good year for him!!!
