Family Vacation to Sea World

Since we were having Thanksgving with my family this year and they all live in the Dallas area now, we decided it would be fun to take the kids(mainly Cason) to Sea World the first part of my Thanksgiving Break. Toby wanted to go in the summer but I told him there was no way I was going to haul a 4 month old baby around in the 115 degree humid heat. So I agreed to this time of year and I am so glad I did. The weather was perfect, the park was not crowded at all the first day and not too bad the second day, AND the park was decorated for Christmas and all the shows were Christmas themed. Cason was in Heaven!!

We got to San Antonio early afternoon on Sunday and the temp. was close to 90 degrees. So we ran to Target to get Cason a swim suit and let him swim in the awesome hotel pool. We stayed at the Hilton Hill Country Resort and Spa btw, and it was awesome!!! Only in south Texas can you swim in November!

On Monday and Tuesday we went to Sea World. The park was only open from 12-9 but that worked out perfectly for us. We got there about 1:30 both days, after the kids had naps, and left around 7. The hotel was just a 5 min. drive. Cason's favorite things to do at Sea World were; watch Shamu, watch the seals, and look at the sharks and penguins. We also fed the dolphins and seals but he was terrified of them because he said they had teeth and they would eat him. Silly boy! Molly did great! She demanded to be carried some of the time but really enjoyed looking at everything. There was so much to see!

Cason's 3rd Birthday!

Cason is 3! It is weird to say I have a 3 year old. This year we decided to forgo the big birthday party because all Cason wanted to do was to go to Chuck E.Cheese's. We let him invite his 2 closet friends Reid and Beau(and of course their younger sisters). He had blast!

On his actual birthday his BeBe and Grandad had a small family party at their house. His favorite present was a toy shop vac. He loves it!

A glance of Cason at 3.
28 lbs
wearing size 3T shirts and 2T pants
has a great sense of humor
loves tractors, trains, cars, and watching me and BeBe cook
loves playing on the i pad, especially Angry Birds
has a pretty good vocabulary but at times is a little hard to understand
loves doing anything with his daddy. He is a daddy's boy!

Monster 1 and Monster 2

This year we let Cason pick out his Halloween costume. We looked on-line for about an hour before he settled on his blue monster costume. Him picking that costume was fitting because we are always calling him Monster 1 and Molly Monster 2. So of course we had to get Molly a pink monster costume. I felt kinda bad about her being a monster (it was really a dinosaur) for her first Halloween but this might be the only year to coordinate to two. Next year we will do something SUPER girly!

This year we had blast. It was seriously the best trick-or-treating I have ever been a part of. We went to my parents neighborhood in Allen. A lot of the people had there houses decorated and they all set out on their front porch to hand out the candy. There were hundreds of people trick-or-treating. We started out by meeting my sister and her family at my parents house and eating dinner. Then we got the kids dressed and off we went! This may have to be a tradition!

Here is the rundown of the kids costumes:
Cason-Blue Monster
Molly- Pink Monster
Reid- Fireman
Camielle- Fire Dog

7 Months Old!

Molly Mo is one very busy 7 month old baby! This past week she has had 2 major things happen to her. Last Saturday she got her first tooth. Or should I say TEETH. Poor thing had her first 2 teeth come in at the same time. She also learned to sit by herself. She is very proud of her new found talent! She is ALMOST crawling but isn't quite there yet. She can scoot backwards and move her hand and knees forward but just not at the same time. I am ok with her not crawling yet. One less kid to chase around!

Teeth!

One cute thing that Molly does that I think is worth blogging about is sticking her tongue out. She always has that thing hanging out. She also starts to pant like a dog so her new nickname is puppy dog. It is almost impossible to get a picture of her without her tongue out these days!

I took this last picture of Miss Molly while she was sleeping today. I just want to be able to remember her as a little baby for just a little bit longer. She is growing way too fast!

Pumpkin Overload

We took our 3rd annual trip to the Dallas Arboretum pumpkin patch this past weekend. I absolutely love it there. I wish it weren't so expensive so we could go several times a year.
The kids did a pretty good job. It was a lot harder to get pictures of Cason this year. The only thing he was interested in was playing and chasing squirrels. Enjoy the pictures!

Molly is 6 Months Old!

6 months! ( Don't you love the quilt my mom made for Molly!?)

How did this happen that my little, bitty, baby girl is 6 months old? She is growing way to fast! Next thing I know she will be starting kindergarten, getting her drivers license, going off to college and getting married. Reflecting back on the last 6 months makes me want to slow down and enjoy life more. I'm not sure that is even possible right now but I am going to make that my goal!

Molly's Stats:
15 lbs. 8 oz. (50%)
26 in. long (75%)
Food: cereal, peas, green beans, and I am supplementing 8 oz. of formula before she goes to bed each night in hopes she will sleep through the night. I have been doing that for a month now and it is still not working. I am very sleepy.....

Miss Molly is talking so much now. She loves to say da da over and over again. She also is squealing in delight and laughing a ton. She is also somewhat mobile. She has figured out how to scoot around on her belly. When I lay her down on the floor there is no telling where she will end up! Molly is also trying to sit by herself. She is almost there but still falls over after a while. AND she is trying to crawl. She is trying to get up on her hands and knees. I think she will be crawling in the next month or so. Watch out! Life will never be the same with 2 mobile kiddo's!

Molly loves to hang with her bro!
