Molly's Pre-K Year

This year was Molly's first year of Pre-K. She went to First Baptist Wylie Pre School and had Mrs. Pensky as her teacher. Cason had her in Pre-K too! Molly went to school Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30-12:30. She absolutely loved it! By the end of the year she was able to recognize all the letters of the Alphabet and their sounds, write her name and count to 30. She's a smarty pants!

To say she enjoyed dressing up was an understatement.

Molly went to Tap and Ballet once week all year. She was a good little dancer!

Valentines Party. It wasn't always easy but we made sure Molly had someone at each of her party's. It was either me, Toby or Grandad and BeBe. It made her one very happy girl!

They enjoyed tea and cookies.

Myrna and Lance came to watch her! BeBe and Grandad were there too but we somehow didn't' get a picture with them.
Preschool Graduation Day!

Of Course BeBe and Grandad were there.

Getting ready to recieve her diploma. Due to an extremely bad hail storm a few weeks before, First Baptist Wylie suffered major damage. The electricity kept going out on her graduation day so they had to hold the ceremony in the foyer and have the kids stand on chairs for their parents to see them.

Cason as a First Grader

Cason had a great year in first grade! His teacher was Mrs. Kelley and he loved her! His best buddy, Wade, was in his class as well as Luke and Jerrod. He started the year at a reading level 6 and made it all the way to an 18! He is doing well with his math facts but science is still his favorite subject.

Cason received a Gettin Gritty award at Dino Beat.  Mrs. Kelley said, "Cason has shown true grit over the last few months by using his reading strategies to attack words. I am so proud of his positive attitude and determination to succeed. Way to go Cason!!!"

Mothers Day 2016

I am blessed to be a mother. Honestly, I think it is THE hardest job a person could have. A mother is always busy. A mother hardly gets any time to herself. A mother has to clean and cook, do homework and drive her kids around. But that's not what makes it hard. What makes it hard is the fears for your children's future. Feeling their pain like it's your own. Most of the time feeling their pain is worse than feeling your own. Motherhood is like a roller coaster. You are doing great, laughing, loving, playing, encouraging... then all of the sudden you dive down into fear, sadness and disappointment. But the best part of being a mother is that you know you will come back up the hill. There will always be more cuddles on the couch, more "I love you", more wins than losses. It is the hardest job a person could have but it is also the most rewarding. Thank you Cason and Molly for making me a mother!
The whole family came over for a Mother's Day lunch.

My wish was to take a walk with my family.

Happy 5th Birthday Molly!

Molly turned 5 this year! What on earth happened? Just a little while ago I was holding her the hospital for the first time and now she's about to start kindergarten! Molly is such a funny, loving, and strong willed child. She knows what she wants and she isn't going to pressured into thinking differently. I hope she will be like this when she is a teenager. She is also fearless! She will go into almost any situation without thinking about it twice. She shows her love to people in the sweetest ways. We get kisses when we least expect it.
On her actual birthday I took a half day off and met her at her preschool. I brought her class some cookies for a small celebration. Then I took her out to lunch at McDonald's (her absolute favorite place to eat). After lunch we went to get a birthday pedicure. Her request for her birthday dinner was pizza with a brownie and ice cream. I am blessed to be able to spend the day with her!

Molly got an American Girl Doll that looks like her!
At McDonald's for lunch. Of course we had to take her American Girl Doll!

Pedicure time!

5 candles for a fantastic 5 year old!

My parents have a fun tradition of having the grand kids over to their house on their birthday. They get to spend the night, pick where they want to eat, go shopping for clothes and open a present. This year Molly wanted Camille to spend the night with her. She chose The Cheesecake Factory (a girl after my own heart). Although I think Grandad and BeBe might have helped in choosing that place. If it were up to her she would have picked McDonald's.

Molly in her new outfit she helped picked out. Even the headband. She loves accessories.
